The Danish Naval Officers’ Club, Søofficers-Foreningen (SOF), is a traditional, social club that has existed since 1852. It was officially established on 2 April 1859. Since 1942, SOF has resided in spacious, exclusive quarters in Søkvæsthuset (former naval hospital). The interior of SOF’s quarters is historically interesting and luxurious and are very well suited for small as well as large functions and dances. The purpose of the club is to promote and maintain good relations between the members of the club as well as to promote hospitality towards officers of foreign navies. The club holds four events every year; a spring ball, dress code: white tie, which is the high point of the year, an autumn ball, dress code: black tie, the annual general meeting and a Christmas lunch. Furthermore, the members of the Club can use the premises for lunches, dinners and other events.
